Finally! We get to see what the co-protagonist of the late Steven Vincent's book, In the Red Zone, "Layla," now known by her real name, Nour al-Kal. Nour was with Steven when he was killed, and suffered multiple gunshot wounds herself. After a year and a half of lobbying, Lisa Ramaci, Steven's widow, managed to secure asylum for Nour enabling her to come to the US. Judith attended a panel discussion centered on "fixers" which Nour sat on on the very day she arrived in New York. She has a report with video, here: Fixers on the Front Lines. Sound quality is such that I wasn't able to understand much, unfortunately, but I was fascinated with watching Nour and how she conducted herself in front of an audience on her first day in America. I think I see what the hype was about.
