May 27 (TONIGHT): Nidra Poller:

Ahavath Torah Congregation will host internationally renowned journalist and commentator Nidra Poller on Wed., May 27 at 7:30 PM. Her topic will be "Lethal narratives: Jihad's weapon of mass destruction and the freedoms that define democracy."

An American writer living in Paris since 1972, Poller reports from the crossroads of a troubled world. First-hand information from Europe, Israel, and the U.S. delivered with sharp insights, bright analysis, vivid details, compelling warmth. Nidra Poller is a novelist who became a journalist in reaction to momentous current events.

Ms. Poller has been published by the Wall Street Journal, Standpoint, Atlas Shrugs, New English Review, Jerusalem Post, Hudson Institute, Makor Rishon, FrontPage, City Journal, Commentary, National Post, American Thinker, National Review Online, Jihadwatch, Jewish Quarterly, TCS Daily, and is a member of the International Free Press Society's Advisory Board.

Poller will be featured at the New English Review Symposium "Understanding Jihad" in May 2009 and was a presenter at The Florida Security Council's Freedom Symposium in April 2009. She was a featured speaker at The Counter-jihad Summit, Brussels. December '06 and The Herzliya Conference: The Media as a Theater of War. As a member of the PLO, Walid participated in acts of terror against Israel. After a spiritual awakening he became an advocate for Israel. Walid speaks throughout the world at churches, synagogues and civic groups, to government leaders and in the media. He has written several online books including "Dear Muslim, Let Me Tell You Why I Believed" and "Israel and the World's Mock Trial." Walid is an American citizen and lives in the U.S. under strict security with his wife and children under this assumed name.

RJC New England Chapter Presents: a screening of the new documentary Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted

Through interviews and poll data designed and collated by Zogby Associates, John Ziegler makes the case that slanted media coverage tilted the playing field toward Obama and against anyone running against him in the 2008 presidential campaign.

Following the screening, the film's creator John Ziegler will entertain questions in an open forum moderated by noted Radio talk show host Michael Graham.
