Do you know where your donation dollars are going? In an upcoming event it'll be a framing of issues between the left and the far-left -- a pro-Israel left and the effectively anti-Israel leftists of J-Street. Lovely the way the establishment lays out the community's ideological options. Doesn't J-Street have their own set of unrepresentative mega-wealthy donors? CJP should let them rent their own space and obtain their own publicity.

A Community Discussion

Obama and Netanyahu: Hopes for America and Israel

Thursday, June 18, 2009
7:30 p.m.
Temple Emanuel, 385 Ward Street, Newton Centre

As the new Obama and Netanyahu administrations work together to shape the U.S.-Israel relationship, many American Jews are examining their own connection to Israel and its importance to their lives. A panel of experts on American Jewish life and politics examine what the future holds, and the role American Jews should play.

  • Moderator: Dr. Jonathan Sarna is the Joseph H. & Belle R. Braun Professor of American Jewish History and the director of the Hornstein Jewish Professional Leadership Program at Brandeis University.
  • Jeremy Ben-Ami is the executive director of J Street, a Washington-based Jewish political group. He is the former communications director for the New Israel Fund, and former deputy domestic policy adviser to President Bill Clinton.
  • Steve Grossman is businessman, and political activist from Newton. He was formerly the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, president of AIPAC, and is currently a co-chair of the Israel Advocacy Committee for Combined Jewish Philanthropies.

Please join us for an interesting and informative program.

Given J-Street's history of activities, they should be shunned by the mainstream community. If they want publicity, let Alan Solomont pay for it.

Noah Pollak wrote an excellent J-Street backgrounder here: They're Doing the J Street Jive. Also, see the backgrounder at DiscovertheNetworks.org, here.

CJP should be ashamed of giving a seat to Jeremy Ben-Ami.

As we've pointed out, CJP will be hosting a discussion next Thursday featuring J-Street's Jeremy Ben-Ami: Why is CJP Giving Oxygen to J-Street? The event has produced an outcry within the community, not only for giving a seat to J-Street,... Read More

Jstreet was taking orders from the NYTimes today on twitter.
not kidding

Money talks. Tough going up against Soros and Solomont money. These two, not to mention other reigning figures at CJP are vested in continuing CJP and JCRC as adjuncts of the Democratic Party. Aside from reassuring some wealthy Newton Jewish widows that they are actually concerned about the survival of Israel in order to collect its annual contribution, our esteemed N.E. Jewish leadership will blindly back the Obama slash and burn policy against Israel (they wouldn't want to be accused of "dual loyalties" would they?). An ever-shrinking Jewish polity is to their liking, because it will grow their assets with the Obama administration. Haifa (not Jerusalem, of course) is the object of their affection because it possesses a significant Arab population (albeit mostly hateful of their fellow Jewish citizens). Jewish sovereignty over its ancient capital, Jerusalem, has become unmentionable for these organizations. Soon they will amend the Passover service by concluding with "Next Year - in Washington!"

Every year, the CJP/JCRC grows more estranged from Eretz Yisroel. Today it's an invitation to J Street, the most pronounced, treasonous organization since the Kapos - tomorrow the invitation and embrace will be extended to Hamas and Hezbollah while they denounce the current Israeli government.

I've seen CJP embrace Faisal Husseini and the insane Israeli politician, Yael Dayan. Both were outspoken in their hatred of the Jewish State. On a day not too far distant, CJP/JCRC will embrace Sheikh Nasrallah - because, as the mantra goes, - "you don't make peace with your friends."

Well, if that's the case, dear CJP, why don't you invite a "Settler" representative to speak at 126 High St? After all, you've identified them as your enemies. Why don't you "dialogue" with them?

Hillels,

Are you saying that J-Street or CJP send representatives to personally visit wealthy Jewish widows and try to brainwash them into donating to J-Street or CJP?

It's harder to ignore a person than a letter.

Enough of their crap. Enough of being polite and silent. Israel is in a war of survival and we must stay on message, which is: "End the Occupation. Arabs Out".

Screw the leftist scum that is the current administration, its capo Jews, the liberal media, Soros, J Street, and other assorted Jewish trash.
