Yes, like all holy books, there are all sorts of passages and you can find proof-texts for lots of different points of view. You've shown that to us by your very selective readings of the Torah and now the Qur'an.
The Qur'an's earlier suras are more peaceful and tolerant than the later ones. Unfortunately, by the doctrine of al-Naskh wa l-Mansukh, it's the later ones, which happen to be more agressive, intolerant and belligerent, as well as more legalistic, that are considered more authoritative. The intolerant and militant suras abrogate the comapssionate peaceful teachings of the suras.
Watch the debate posted here in which Daniel Pipes and Wafa Sultan discuss whether there is such a thing as "moderate Islam" and whether the Islamic world can reform itself. We know from the examples of secular Muslims and such people as M. Zudhi Jasser and non-mainstream Muslim denominations (Ahmadiyya, Sufi, Dervish, ...) that Islam can indeed be a religion of peace. For the sake of peace in the world, we pray that the Muslim world does reform itself.
Personally, Nappy hopes that you will take the energy you've put into debating us into vigorous, honest dialogue with your fellow Muslims and Arabs. We hope that instead of just blaming the West or Israel or the Jews for all that's wrong, that you start looking at yourselves and your culture.
