York University in Toronto is investigating allegations of assault against two Jewish students during a pro-Israel program.
The incident, which is alleged to have taken place Feb. 1, occurred when about 20 Jewish members of the on-campus group Hasbara Fellowships at York University gathered, with permission from the university, to raise awareness of captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit and terrorist acts committed by Hamas.
Tyler Golden, co-president of Hasbara Fellowships, told JTA that about 50 activists and protesters surrounded the Jewish students and began chanting anti-Israel and anti-Semitic slurs.
He said two Jewish students were slapped, one on the arm and the other across the face.
Two university security officers arrived on the scene. Toronto police were not called "because we wanted to give the university a chance to put its system into place," according to Golden.
Golden said a complaint was lodged with York's Student Conduct and Dispute Resolution Office...
...According to its Web site, the Jewish Defense League of Canada has offered a $500 reward "for the assailants [sic] identities, names, alias [sic], phone numbers and addresses."
A year ago, a group of Jewish students at York were barricaded in the Hillel lounge by a mob yelling anti-Semitic and anti-Israel slurs. Police had to escort the Jewish students out of the building. Two York students were reprimanded for the incident...

Only problem is it *never* happened. York University has released security video of the incident and it turns out not only did Hasbara exaggerate the size of the "mob" but there were no assaults whatsoever - they lied about it. Are you going to post a correction solomonia?

There should be people at every rally to DOCUMENT, to RECORD fascist behavior by islamofascists and FAKE "anti-war" activists.

You're right. There was security video at the incident and guess what - turns out it's a Hasbara Hoax.

Fair's fair. We all deserve to know exactly what happened.
Solomon, Shalom Life, a newspaper of Israelis living in Canada and a pro-Zionist paper at that saw the video and reported what they saw. Why do you have any reason to doubt them especially when Hasbara is now refusing to comment?
Here's the kicker. Hasbara claimed two of their video cameras were knocked to the ground. If that were true that would be rather stunning video - so why hasn't that film been produced? All we have is the security video that shows the Hasbara claims are a pure invention. These guys should be expelled.

"Eddie", the video is with York University Security. Both Shalom Life (I know, an Islamist newspaper if I've ever seen one) and the excalibur have seen the video. This is what Shalom Life says: "The video was taken using the closed circuit cameras which are installed on campus, and although there is no audio as the camera is placed in a high traffic area, it clearly shows the events which took place between 4pm and 5pm on Monday, February 1, the day in question. The table which was set up by the Hasbara group at York is visible, and no more than about 15 to 30 people are seen around the table at any given time. At one point, it can be seen that an argument may have taken place; however, at no point during the video is there any evidence of a brawl, nor can a shouting match be evident from the students’ body language. At several points cameras are being used by the students, and at one point a female student who obviously does not take well to being on camera tries to reach for the camera, but the male student holding it lifts it up so it is out of her reach. No evidence of students being physically assaulted can be found during the video. York’s security officers are seen towards the end of the video taking statements from students who were on scene."
What is your evidence, "Eddie", that Shalom Life is lying and if the Hasbara boys are telling the truth why have they suddenly clammed up and refused comment and why haven't they released their video?

I ask you for a THIRD time, present a link to the security video to support your claim of a hoax.

So we haven't seen the video yet, but Shalom Toronto and Excalibur report that it shows no assault. Maybe it's all a hoax played by York Security, the Excalibur and Shalom Toronto.
If you're unwilling to say Hasbara lied, that's your right. Maybe they didn't. But we can't just assume that the assault must have happened just because Hasbara says so but other credible sources say it didn't.

Only if you believe that someone is guilty until proven innocent. Sorry Eddie, if you're going to accuse people of assault then you better have the evidence to back it up and Hasbara's evidence has come unstuck. They had two video cameras on the scene - where is their evidence to refute what York University security cameras show?
