I know of 3 people that are censored from Harry's Place. Their posturing around free speech takes on a air of farce because of this. And Im talking about centrist conservatives, like myself, Mary Jackson of the New English Review/The Iconoclast, and other mainstream conservatives.

The BNP is a Leftist group, which I am not fond of, but do share concerns with on some issues, like immigration and multiculturalism(which is at its root anti Europic and not multiculturalism at all).

I really dont care for the past or leadership of the BNP. Its noteworthy that they are gaining support from Labour voters, and not Conservatives.

I really like the UKIP, and wish them great success in the elections. I also hope that the BNP sucks considerable numbers from Labour. I wish to see a coalition government of Tory/UKIP in play(aknowledging the unlikelyhood of UKIP majority rule, or being the majority party in a coalition.

Didnt the UK recently revamp its Libel Laws(or in the process currently)? They are in serious need of revamping if the indeed do value free speech (hate speech laws are also an abomination for those who claim to value free speech and reveal supporters of such to not be serious about support for free speech - especially political speech). But the BNP's use of the law to attempt to silence people is not much different than the Lefts attempts to do so, and many minority identity groups and organizations as well. Though I condemn both the BNP and the minority groups for doing so, I understand that the BNP is just playing the game set up by the New Left. They didnt make the rules, and werent the first to abuse them. Time to change the rules.

This can be boiled down into the charge of McCarthyism. Shining a light on the associations and memberships, actions, and participations of Leftwingers in far Left, Communist Front Groups, Fellow Travelling organizations hostile to the US, and so on and so forth.

It is well documented that child sexual abuse in the US Public School System by teachers and other faculty/personel far exeeds that of the Catholic Church.

However their arent constituencies out there with malice towards the public school system, like the Lefts assault on the Catholic Church and Christianity as an agenda. So there arent groups formed with the sole purpose of assaulting the public school institution, using child sexual abuse as the vehicle to attack it. (I realize that there are groups that are hostile to the public school system but more for its lack of efficiency and efficacy, than being hostile to it as an institution, its mere existence.) Additionally the response by the public school system to sexual abuse charges is abysmal, worse than the Catholic Church.

So you can see that it is anti Catholic bigotry that drives the storyline in the media and the criticism and demonization of the Catholic Church.

Im not excusing priest child sexual abuse, here, not at all. I am merely framing the issue, so that you can see the hostility and bigotry as a driver to make this issue more than it is. It is similar to what is done to Israel....which is criticized all out of proportion, with other nations, which is indicative of anti Semitic bigotry as the reason for that state of affairs.
