I can't say I've ever been a big reggae fan, but one of my favorite albums of all time in any genre has to be the soundtrack to Jimmy Cliff's, The Harder They Come. I've never actually gotten around to seeing the movie, but that album's a gem. Maybe it has to do with some early memories of hearing it play through the wall in my sister's room on her first stereo (which she sold not long after to my parents' chagrin). I still own it on vinyl. The Boney M business has brought it to mind again. Here's the whole album, in track order, excepting the final two tracks which are a replay of You Can Get It If You Really Want and a partially instrumental version of The Harder They Come. I've seen the movie at least a dozen times but the Jamaican patois is so thick I can hardly understand a word of dialogue. I watch just for the music.
