The ship was in port in preparation for its Nov. 13, 2010, commissioning ceremony. The ship was named after U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Jason Dunham, who was mortally wounded by insurgents in Iraq in April 2004, and posthumously received the Medal of Honor January 11, 2007.
