As chipmunk looks on...

The quarry is spotted. A visitor from the swamp...

Made captive and taken inside to be held, briefly, as spectacle for small children...

Curiosity sated, he is released...

Making his way back into the wild from whence he came...

It is good to see the evidence that he did, eventually, make it home...

Glad all is ok after your brush with wildlife.

Them turtles are dangerous!

Turtletrail shot is awesome. You have one nicely groomed yard to give off that kind of track. You could never see that sort of subtle change in the Mordor-like topography of our property.

the picture of the turtle trail made me laugh outloud! thanks for sharing, it was great

I hope you still check this site, I know it is old.
I also laughed out loud at the the turtle trail.
I just want to say you have a beautiful yard. Your gardens are gorgeous.
Thanks for sharing.

Hey,
Came to the computer to find out how long it takes for a turtle's eggs to hatch....found your blog. The exact same thing happened to me yesterday....went out to water my lawn and almost stepped on a Momma turtle laying alot of eggs right near our back door....8 eggs that I watched her lay and cover up. Really cool to see and I videoed it for my granddaughter to watch. Have seen similar disturbance in my grass before but never knew it could be turtle eggs!! Hoping they will hatch. We live in Florida, with a stream in our backyard. She finished and turned back to go to the water....really cool, I first for me at 58 years old.
