Regarding the story of DePaul Professor Thomas Klocek posted about below, there is another twist I learned from watching the Columbia conference that makes the story even worse. A representative of FIRE (the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education) disclosed during his speech that not only was Klocek denied a hearing and speak in his own defense, but the student newspaper which did a story about the situation was forbidden from taking a statement from Klocek's representatives. I missed the FIRE reps speech? I think it was one of the last 2 speeches and most people were leaving already.
Looks like I missed capping Brigitte Gabriel's speech completely. Bummer.
Were there people heckling every time someone brought up Jenin, or was that only during Phyllis Chesler's speech.
Chesler got the lion's share of the heckling. I need to check my notes, but I do recall some other heckling.
Thanks. I heard the outbursts during Chesler's speech and it seemed they cracked down on it well, but then when Charles Jacobs was talking, it seemed there was some disturbance...I *thought* when Jenin came up. I'll have to watch again (not that it matters that much).
It get's even worse at DePaul. It seems they have, according to Steven Plaut on ChronWatch, they have a poli sci professor on it's staff. But no room (and no free-speech) for pro-Israel Dr. Klocek. I've got it (with all the links) on my blog, http://marathonpundit.blogspot.com
