Says Attorney General Bill Lockyer:

“It is an honor to co-host this powerful exhibit and display the talent of our legal community,” Lockyer said. “Creative expression stimulates freedom of thought, appreciation for diversity and opens new windows onto the world in which we live. The collected works of these fine artists – and lawyers – achieve these worthwhile objectives with style and beauty.”

California tax payers are footing the bill.

Oh yes, there's more. I can't tell from the photos what percentage of the display is stuff like this. Anyone know?

Well this certainly proves one thing: Lady Justice is blind.

Aside from being politically moronic, that's simply awful art.

Who said "I know art, and this ain't it". I think it was in reference to the crucifix in the jar of urine. I am no longer surprised by what passes as art (Does anyone remember the feces covered painting of the Madonna with female genitalia pasted on it), but I have a four year old grandson who can draw a better flag, displayed properly. Maybe I should have him apply for an NEA grant. Tom Glennon

If the flag were displayed porperly, your grandson would never get an NEA grant.

You are right Will. I bet even Norman Rockwell would not qualify for an NEA grant, as many of his paintings were either patriotic or used Boy Scouts as the subject matter. On the same note, Ernie Pyle and Bill Mauldin would not be able to get jobs with any major newspapers today, as their writings were not 'politically correct". Tom Glennon
