I may go through a period of relatively uninspired raw linkage, then, "essay envy" taking hold, I'll get something stuck in my craw I can only pry out with a longer piece. I don't hesitate to post things that have already appeared on the "big blogs" -- not everyone who comes here is a blog addict, after all -- but I do tend to keep an eye out for stuff that hasn't already appeared elsewhere.

It's all about having my little nudge at the common sense.
