The SDP has received several letters in the past informing them that they are not in compliance with several of the Commonwealth's regulations regarding "public charities" like themselves. Generally these are a pro-forma matter that the State doesn't have the manpower or interest to actually pursue...so the SDP ignored them.

This time the letter comes from an assistant AG, orders a stop in fund-raising, and threatens action against the officers personally. Letter posted below. [click (twice) for larger and legible]
