This is just a quick link to follow -- an "aside." These are links to interesting things that, for one reason or another, I didn't place into a full posting. Click the link to visit the full article. Go to the blog index for a regular listing of posts.
Alan Dershowitz: Israel, Gaza and International Law - 'The cease fire on the ground has not ended the war of words against Israel. Indeed, efforts to charge Israel with war crimes and other violations of international law are escalating. The time has come, therefore, for a common sense legal and moral analysis of the events in Gaza and southern Israel...'
Professor Dershowitz. You may be aware of the demonstators in Tel Aviv University ( Both Faculty and Students) who are calling for the removal of Colonel Sharvit from Tel Aviv University Law Scholl. The obections to her hiring stem from her role in the recent Gaza Operattions where she providied legal support for the operations that resulted in killings of innocent children. Demonstrators argue that she is incompetent ( as her actions testify to her ignorance of international law). Alternatively, she is an immoral person who should not set example to Israeli students.
I strongly disagree with the demonstrators. Your comments?
Many thanks for your commebts.
