Richard L. Cravatts: Protesting Against Israel or Hating Jews? - '...This demonstrator's ugly and revealing comments expose what many have thought of Israel's most virulent critics for some time -- that if you scratch the surface of an Israel-hater long enough, you will eventually find a Jew-hater lurking below. Even critics of Israel as odious as Ahmadinejad never publicly admit that they despise Jews. He merely loathes the "Zionist regime." The argument always goes something like this: it's not that they hate Jews; it's only Zionism or Israeli policies they abhor...'
You have written a tremendous article on how much of the world has come to erroneously blame Jews for the condition of Palestinians. The world ignores the corrupt treatment, of Palestine, by Arab Nations and its corrupted leaders. Arafat was found to have millions in secret bank accounts while his beloved people suffered from lack of medical supplies and food, all the while asking the world to send more money.
I found it disturbing that so called journalists at a recent State Department press conference almost completely ignored the suffereing of Israel under constant bombardment of Gaza launched rockets. Israelis have 15 seconds to get to shelter or risk losing their lives when an incoming rocket is detected. But apparently the potential loss of a Jew does not play nearly as well as the collateral damage caused by Hamas terrorists who pick civilian sites to attack Israel from, and decry the results when Israel fights back. The ultimate saving grace for Israel is :YHVH of armies.
