Success with that heavy handedness as well as success in standing against international pressure will eventually inspire Islamist support from quarters which would previously never have supported Iran. When that starts happening, the world will long for the good ole days when statements like "only a small percentage of Muslims are radical" were still largely false, but were more true than they will be when these natural enemies unite into the juggernaut. That is why you don't talk to your enemies without preconditions. (JMIO)
