Politico: Amitai Etzioni: The way the Obama Administration negotiates with Russia will be studied for years to come as a classic example of the poor way in which progressives negotiate - '...the United States grants other nations the highest items on their wish lists—while they adamantly refuse to respond to our most urgent needs. Basically, Obama follows up his fine “let’s be friends” speeches by giving others—Russia, for instance—half the store, to show that he really is a nice guy. Then, he adds another quarter of it and hopes that the other side will reciprocate. The Russians instead move to the next item on their wish list...'
