UN Officials Hosting Anti-Israel Tours And Media Events In Gaza. Obama State Dept Boosts Their Funding [Video] - '...Heather Robinson wonders why we're paying UNRWA to teach martyrdom to Palestinian kids. The apparent answer, per the "courageous and dedicated" John Ging, is that it's Israel's fault. UNRWA textbooks only teach kids to fire rockets at Israeli civilians, you see, because Israel won't permit paper into the Gaza Strip. If only Israel was to lift the blockade, UNRWA would be able to print new textbooks. Really. That's what Ging - a fully-vetted career United Nations diplomat - actually said. That happened...'

Now, bear with me, but to indulge some hyperbole (though "exactly how much hyperbole?" would be the apposite question), this too could be conceived as a tautology.

Oh that business about paper is SUCH baloney.
I have been hearing about the Palestinian school books, some containing the Protocols, since before the withdrawal from Gaza and therefore before the so-called seige.
The excuse back then was, the books aren't Palestinian, they were borrowed from the Egyptians, so you can't blame the Palestinians for teaching the Protocols as fact.
aaarrrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Or in Judea and Samaria, that the textbooks were Jordanian. The PA has since produced new textbooks that are barely any better than the old ones but getting worse in later editions. See, for example:
- David Bedein, Teaching Destruction of Israel in the Mainstream Schools of the Palestinian Authority, 2006
- Itamar Marcus & Barbara Crook, PMW Watch, From Nationalist Battle to Religious Conflict: New 12th Grade Palestinian Textbooks Present a World Without Israel, February, 2007
- Itamar Marcus & Barbara Crook, PMW Watch, PA Holocaust Denial in new PA schoolbooks: WWII without a Holocaust, April, 2007
- Noa Meridor, Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center (ICT), Israel still does not appear on maps in Palestinian textbooks
- IMPACT-SE—Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (formerly CMIP—Center for Monitoring the Impact of Peace, Various reports on Palestinian and Israeli texbooks, 2001-2009

Obviously, the problem is they didn't have the paper to print new books. It's all the fault of those damned Jooz. When will the Obama administration demand that the "palestinian" Board of Education excise the racist dogma in its textbooks of hate?
This problem will be addressed after Obama has secured the stoppage of settlement building, no doubt.
Obama is a brilliant thinker, lest ye forget.
