On the whole, that’s a good thing. Our society is going to rest on the consent of the governed and our churches (and other houses of worship) will have to persuade people to walk through the door rather than compelling them to come in. But maybe we can be a little smarter about common sense and think a little more critically about how sometimes the most 'obvious' ideas are the ones that need to be criticized in the light of both human reason and the word of God.'
